Igon, I went ahead and forked your plugin to not capture a zoom out or zoom in swipe so that users can navigate if they end up zooming in on an element with wipetouch enabled: http://pastie.org/7131093

Commented Issue: tapToClick option actually not used [3]

There's not really much more to say, it's just that the tapToClick option is not actually used.

The comment right above the condition that checks for the number of pixels moved (line 260) says that the option would be checked here, but that's not true, it's not being checked anywhere, and looking at the previous releases it looks like it was never used at all.

The side effects are click events that are being triggered twice.

Comments: To prevent the trigger twice I changed the config to preventDefault: false and set tapToClick: false.

Hi,
I have an similar problem.

If I set the preventDefault to true , I will not scroll the page vertically anymore and even I set tapToClick to true,I still can not trigger a touch or click event in some browser

I have the same problem.
I use the plugin for a website to show or hide the navigation. but the user can't scroll vertically anymore.
is there a solution for this?
can i use only left and right swipes and keep the vertical swipes with default browser behaviour?

Hi, good plugin you have made.

There is just one problem
I want to find out element id that is triggering the event

My code is like this:

Want to be able to scroll in Settings page div
but can't seems to find element id that triggers the event.

I've been wondering the same thing, but I don't think it's possible. So I have created a version (based on 1.2.0) which allows this.

Also fixed tapToClick as I'm pretty sure that was always treated as being enabled even if set to false.

I'm not using Mercurial so not going to fork, instead here's a pastie...

Just use the following on the same element(s) you've already added wipetouch functionality to:

$(document).wipetouch({remove:true});

Great plugin! Very smooth and easy to us…

I have this site with a slideshow where I use the swipe left/right to go between images, but there's also a zoom feature and once the bigger zoomed in image shows up on top of the slideshow, the swipe events from the slides under the zoomed in image are still being triggered.

How can I turn them off?

Hello,

I use wipetouch for an iPad project, it work realy good, very simple to implement, it's cool!

But I have an issue with it, a link element (<a href="">) doesn't work when I listen swipe event on it container. It work if there is a jQuery event, but not if it is simple link, with just a "href" attribute.

I founded the mistake, near line 268, you do a "touchedElement.trigger("click");", but this only dispatch jquery event, not a "real" click.

In my case, I just replace this line by

var eClick = document.createEvent('MouseEvent');
eClick.initMouseEvent('click', true, true, window, 1,startX, startY, startX, startY, false, false, false, false, 0, null);
var rootNode = e.target;
while (rootNode.nodeType !== 1) {
rootNode = rootNode.parentNode;
}
rootNode.dispatchEvent(eClick);

It's create a real click event in javascript, and so, it's work both with jquery event and without.
Maybe it could be a good feature to test and implement in a future version?

Plain and simple, i think it would be a good idea to expose the catched touchStart and touchEnd events.

When using the wipeMove event instead of one of the wipe*Direction* events, one doesn't know when the touch operation actually starts or ends. This would be pretty handy, for example to check whether the current move operation is a actually new one. Right know all we know is that there's something moving :)
